Kate's journey to financial wellness began in her late 20s, when a health crisis upended her career and forced her to become a full-time, unemployed patient. In addition to depleting her personal savings to pay for medical costs, she experienced first-hand just how much financial anxiety can eat away at your well-being. Kate noticed friends and family often silently struggled with money stress as well -- with nowhere to turn for honest guidance and everyday financial advice. She set out to turn her own financial life around, and soon began a new career in personal finance as a result.
